Let’s get one thing straight — I am not & have never been an early bird. I’ll start work at some point between 9–10am, depending on how late I worked the evening before.

I travel abroad quite frequently to attend tech & startup conferences. We’ve done quite a few now, so I’ll usually bump into lots of friends which is always nice! When I’m in London I’ll head to our co-working space in Shoreditch, Soho Works. It’s a great space — cosy but quiet, & it’s where I feel most productive.

The team are spread out over the south east. Our CEO Soum and CFO Shanshan prefer to work from Waterloo, and our CTO Rob has his labs out in Surrey. This means a lot of Skype calls & Slack!

We spend our morning catching up with the team & our partners on opportunities & problems we need to solve. This could take multiple forms — maybe meeting with our designers to brainstorm a new product or feature on our app, or with our PR agency to plan a really fun event for journalists and bloggers.

There’s never a dull day at a pleasure company — and innuendos are always bouncing around. They never stop being funny.

At lunch I’ll try to read something to keep up to date with what’s happening in tech. I love The Exponential View, a weekly newsletter — it gives so many links to great articles across AI, politics, green energy and everything in between. I’ll also do a sweep of any news in the sextech space to add to our own newsletter The High Notes. It’s a curated collection of anything inspiring/exciting/innovative in pleasure.

It’s my goal to make your inbox feel a bit more sexy!

The afternoon is when I feel like I’m really hitting my stride. It’s now that I’ll tackle more difficult tasks, or things that really require some brain power. If I’m participating in a panel or preparing a keynote speech at a tech conference, it’s now that I’ll work on it.

I also love afternoons for meeting with journalists over coffee. It’s always fascinating to talk to people about sex & technology — it never really feels like a job. I get to interact frequently with very mainstream media, who are beginning to talk about sextech a lot more. So planning radio or TV slots is a lot of fun!

In the evenings we might have dinner at Soum’s house, or drinks in Shoreditch House. There’s always loads of events going on in London too — so we might attend a dinner or panel or networking thing. There’s a great community of people in Soho Works so someone is always up for doing something fun!
