Can you please explain what your company does in terms simple enough for your Grandparents to understand.

We help people fight stress! We empower our users to embrace a lifestyle focused on stress management wellbeing. A more formalised way of explaining what we do, put simply is: BioBeats is a digital health and artificial intelligence company that specialises in creating easy-to-use corporate and personal wellness solutions.

We have a world-class team of scientists and designers including renowned experts in AI, machine learning, wearables, cloud solutions and theoretical computer science. Our solutions, based on years of research, provide insights into individual health and wellbeing by tracking data from wearable and smartphone sensors. Biometric and psychometric feedback is combined with unique machine learning algorithms to deliver personalised stress and productivity management tools based on clinically proven coaching techniques.

How would you describe your company culture?

We are a hardworking bunch who respect each other’s skills and opinions. We love clever people who can bring ideas to the table and who are keen to learn as much as possible about our space.

What are your main focuses at the moment?

At the moment we are focusing on helping large corporate companies learn to track, manage and understand the stress of their employees. We’ve added some exciting new features which we refer to as ‘Brain Function’ tests, this helps us to look at the reaction, concentration and then recovery in relation to stress — which we’re really excited about.

What advice would you give other startups that are hiring?

Hiring the right employees is hugely important for any start-up. The first step is to hire people not only for their experience and expertise, but also for their future potential. Hiring tenacious, smart, hungry and engaging team members will make all the difference for the future of your business. Also, make sure to engage your entire team in the hiring process. Finding a cultural fit for your team is tricky, but incredibly important. Having a cohesive group that is working towards making your vision a reality is the goal.

What advice would you give applicants trying for your role?

We want our employees to be dynamic, hungry, hands-on and ready to change the world! We truly see our work as life-changing technology and we want all of our team members to believe in that vision as well. Applicants should want to join our team because they have faith in our vision and want to execute on that. We want to see that passion, engagement and experience come through not only in your CV, but also when we meet you. Most importantly, be a team-player and not scared of late nights and getting involved in all aspects of the business. We’re a tight knit group and we want to to hire people who will focus on helping us bring our vision to the global marketplace.
