Ocean Protection Starts With You
We recently created a video for an awesome organisation we’re really excited about.
Project AWARE is a unique movement of divers and volunteers from around the globe, dedicated to protecting and cleaning up our oceans one dive at a time.
They’re focused on tackling two critical conservation issues: Sharks in Peril and Marine Debris (or trash in the ocean).
A very worthy cause
It’s a shocking fact that less than 1% of the ocean is protected, and many of the world’s shark species are on the brink of extinction.
The guys at Project AWARE collect essential data about the debris found underwater, which is vital for the marine debris community, and is the only effort of its kind.
They also campaign to protect vulnerable sharks threatened by overfishing, bycatch and finning, providing governments with scientific data and recommendations about conservation.
#Giving Tuesday
Project AWARE have set today, December 3rd, as a day to celebrate the ocean with a global call to action.
By getting their organisation involved in #GivingTuesday, they have made it simple for people to donate, view their amazing new video (who made that one again?!) and spread the word via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (by tagging photos with #unselfie, #GivingTuesday and #projectaware.)
They’ve also teamed up with PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) for this initiative, who will double donations up to $10,000 until December 31st.

The video is being launched today on Project AWARE’s website and on #GivingTuesday.
As you’ll see, our animated video is clear, concise and colourful.
We’ve kept a balance between explaining the very serious issues and problems being tackled, with communicating the optimism and inspiration that surrounds what Project AWARE aim to achieve.
We like to think we’re created an informative, upbeat and inspiring video that will make a real difference to this incredibly important cause!
