A posting today on Medium, The Trouble With DALL-E3, included some great analysis on the real usability of DALL-E3 (via OpenAI) vs Midjourney in interpreting complex demands. The salient conclusion is that by generating the actual prompt, DALL-E3 is one step removed. Unless one is an expert at creating prompts, it is GIGO. Midjourney is more direct in this regard and will generate better results. However, DALL-E3 is probably better in interpreting simple prompts to generate less sophisticated graphics. Another earlier post presented a great comparison of DALL-E3 and DALL-E2.

On the marketing front, a posting on ‘The Drum,’ ‘AI boom, social commerce surge, funnel collapse: Agency leaders share top 2024 predictions,’ looked at trends for the coming year. One of the better and realistic observations:
