‘The Information’ reports that the vast majority of people who use AI tools for work or play are satisfied, and over half are willing to pay. And 87% expect to increase their use of AI in the coming year and in fact are optimistic as to expected outcomes.

And a good article on the increasing use of AI to develop content and track marketing initiatives, but a call for better measurement and monitoring. This also relates to the attribution of content creation and the protection of the brand. Net-net, effective measurement is always critical, AI or not.

On the entertainment front, the remaining Beatles — Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr — are releasing a new song, ‘Now and Then,’ that got a little help from a friend…. AI. The voice of John Lennon is from a mid-70s recording, enhanced via AI techniques. From the article on why we had to wait: “Technological limitations meant Lennon’s vocals and piano could not be separated to produce the clear mix required to finish the song.”

Also, on the creative, the coming tsunami of AI-generated ‘hyperrealist’ sculpture. Not for everyone!

Finally, on the political front, the UN is debuting an AI governance advisory committee, first of its kind, to provide recommendations.
