The Art of Work-Life Harmony

Work-Life balance is an important topic. Most of the time, we find ourselves in situations where more work is placed on us, or sometimes we indulge ourselves too much in it, which can become burdensome and lead to mental pressure.

Setting boundaries is essential to managing both personal and professional life. According to me, always follow a few rules:

  1. Start saying ‘No’ to additional commitments, whether personal or professional, that compromise your health.
  2. Self-love plays an important role. Indulge yourself in activities(vacations, spirituality, selfless service,dancing, swimming,….) that make you happy and recharge your mind.
  3. Set boundaries between work and personal life. Don’t bring extra work into family time.
  4. Prioritize what is important task to finish first.
  5. Invest in healthy relationships(Family, Friend, Colleagues..) — They are crucial for personal happiness and support.
  6. Practice mindfulness to be present in the current moment, which helps reduce stress and increase focus.
  7. Post-COVID, many of us have the option to work from home. Opt for remote work if possible or allowed by your organization to achieve a balance between personal and professional life.
