4 weeks in Guatemala was amazing and we saw almost everything we wanted to see. 🇬🇹 We visited: Guatemala City, Antigua, Lake Atitlan, Panajachel, San Marcos, San Pedro, Flores and Tikal. Traveling to Guatemala was a challenge due to the political elections in Honduras so we took a 18 hour bus that ended up being 25 hours due to a riot / protest that took place on the street.

Once we got to Guatemala — it was incredible. So much colour, culture, great food, people and adventure awaited us.

Random facts about Tikal:

— Star Wars a new hope was filmed there

— The white trees are the same trees from Avatar

— only 20% of the Mayan temples have been uncovered
