We had lots of fun traveling with Mark. Great conversations, a personal chauffeur/limo diver (😉) and trying some new experiences together.

Mark really wanted us to try paragliding with him, but instead we took him up on some sport fishing.

Maeghan had never been fishing before, so she was very excited to try her luck. The boat had maybe 8 experienced fishermen but everyone laughed at Maeghan as every single tug of her line, she would announce the activity, squirm and jump accordingly. We only caught a few fish to eat and put the rest back into the sea (don’t take more than you can eat)!

After a good few day road trip with Mark, we parted ways and headed south to Cathedral Cove.

We also got a new camera that we were stoked to use… so more pictures to come.

The Bay of Islands are hundreds of these little guys spread out along the coast line.

Maeghan caught the most fish (9) but only kept two for dinner. She also caught the BIGGEST fish of the day…. until someone else caught a bigger one last minute. But in the trio of Canadians, she caught the biggest fish.

They cut up our snapper fish and fried it for our dinner! It was delicious and crazy fresh!
The walk to Cathedral Cove.
It poured rain for 10 min, the slowly sent the sun back out to play.
