šø āHiking Arthurās Pass, Franz Josef & Fox Glacier, New Zealand
Our days were filled with driving, hiking and drinkingā¦.. amazing hops and grapes were sold at every tiny corner store making it easy for us to convince ourselves that everyday we did something to celebrate.
This part of our road trip was our first taste of the Southern Alps and we got to go hiking in-between the west coast glaciers and explore the east coast beaches.
Here is our journey from Picton to Devilās Punch Bowl. If the pictures donāt give it away⦠know that the south island is beautiful. ā¤ļø

As you take the ferry from the North to South island, you pass through a channel of islands called a āSoundā. They are beautiful.

We left Picton and the day went from beautiful sun to terrible rain. So as we drove to Arthurās Pass, we stopped at the Peter Jacksonās personal collection of World War I planes hoping to let the bad weather pass.

Devilās PunchBowl. We have a great story here about our droneā¦. more to come soon.

We had booked a Heli-Hike to land and hike the glacier, but the weather was not on our side and unfortunately cancelled the trip. It didnāt stop us from hiking the ground trail, even though it was raining so intensely and our pants were and jackets were soaking wet.
