📸 — Hobbiton & Tongariro #LOTR hike, New Zealand

The north island of New Zealand is crazy green, like you feel as though you have a vivid green filter over your eyes at all times. It is also the place where most of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies were filmed.

Oli was super stoked to visit Hobbiton and made sure we listened to all the LOTR soundtracks as we drove to the set….. 🤨

This is a very rare tree that was imported from overseas. The owners were going to cut it down, but Peter Jackson loved it and wanted for the movies.

Our tour guide Michael A was super awesome, and I think a bigger LOTR fan than my brother!

There is free beer at the end of the tour and the chance to dress like a hobbit!
