Our road trip winding to an end. We finished our last few hikes in Mount Cook’s National Park and made our way up to Christchurch to catch our flight back to Australia.

We did star gazing at Mount John’s observatory which was pretty incredible — the most southern astronomy lab in the world. We also enjoyed great company at our Airbnb and Oli enjoyed the big city for it’s access to more craft beer.

Christchurch experienced an earthquake 7 years ago.. and is still in the process of rebuilding the city. But it has been so cool to see all the new developments they are making and were coincidently here the same time as the Lantern Festival.

New Zealand — you are a BEAUTIFUL PLACE! ❤️

GLACIER ICEBERG! & DIRTY GLACIER IN THE BACK!
We stayed at a lovely airbnb — where Oli made a cat BFF for life.
Shot on iPhone… since cameras were all in the car.
Star gazing at the Earth & Sky Mount John Conservatory (night shot pulled from their facebook)
Oli’s two favorite things.
It would make sense that we found Gandolf the Brown in New Zealand.
Indonesian Food at the Lantern Festival
