From the Worst Situations, Always Look for the Positives. Even With Trump
Rather than knock Trump, I have spent the last 2 weeks looking back at his political career, looking for something positive. It wasn’t easy finding anything, but there is much to learn and take from that history
It is easy to knock people who live in the spotlight. It is even easier to criticise friends and family. I know.
I did it to my father and his father. And it’s been done to me.
My step-grandfather started a transport company and from day one, it went gangbusters. He had throat cancer and could not speak properly. He had a hole where his Adam’s apple belonged.
With that disability, doors opened for him. Combined with perfect timing, and sheer luck he started transporting paint around South Africa just as DULUX came out with a new formula. The paint was in huge demand.
He begged my stepfather to leave his job at DULUX and join him in the company. My dad was the warehouse manager and had helped my grandfather secure the transport…
