Rock With You: A Poetic Remix
I rock with you, you rock with me, we rock together. Don’t try to fight it
I rock with you, you rock with me, we rock together.
No matter the place and no matter the weather.
The sun could be shining brightly, and heavy snow could be on the ground.
Some people would still argue about the conditions like a bunch of stormy clowns.
Some people brag about what they eat and give orders about what we shouldn’t ingest anymore.
For all their malnourished suggestions they walk right past someone in need whose hunger gets ignored.
Some people get mad about who votes or not and condemn the opposing president.
They debate how everyone else should live their lives when all our lives are heaven-sent.
Differences are over-publicized while unity gets a backseat.
Consistently we’re driven apart instead of sticking together like webbed feet.
Duck the division and find the glue that should keep us all united.
I rock with you, you rock with me, we rock together. Don’t try to fight it.
