Natalie Gaymon woke up to use the bathroom.
Midway there, she felt dizzy.
Midway out of the bathroom, she dropped to the ground and simultaneously went out of her body. The transition was so seamless that she didn’t feel any different.
Natalie noticed a mass lying on the ground when she reached for the door. It appeared that way because, to her, she was aware of being alive.
When she turned away from the body, she immediately went through the wall. As she went through it, she became aware of being that wall. And that’s when she thought something was off.
She wondered how she got to the bedroom so fast.
The only rational explanation was that she probably couldn’t remember going through the motions because she was sleepy.
So she brushed it off and tried to sleep again, only to feel herself lifted towards the corner of her room.
