Helen B. Taussig, the Mother of Pediatric Cardiology

She was a pioneer for women in medicine, a fighter who challenged social norms and accepted medical practices. She helped find cures and trained future generations of physicians. One could describe Helen Taussig as tenacious, unwilling to accept any defeat of her passions. I would say simply that she stood for her beliefs.

Helen Taussig was a remarkable person. This is our story about her.
