Unless you’ve been living in a hole, you know about Snapchat Spectacles. Only available from pop-up surprise vending machines around the country, Spectacles have been taking the culture by storm.

I’d be super happy if you were living in this hole.

Made by Snapchat, Spectacles are sunglasses with a built-in video camera that lets you record 10-second snapchats from your face.

So you’re thinking they are kinda like Google Glass, right? No, not at all. Google glasses were built for nerds and never got off the ground — mainly because they were built for nerds.

Spectacles on the other hand actually look great — like high-end expensive sunglasses. You can’t even tell they have a camera in them.

Doing what millennials do best, taking selfies.

EXCEPT — when you start to record. Snapchat put in this suuuuper bright annoying light on the front that starts spinning when you record. While they probably definitely did it so people didn’t freak out about being secretly recorded, we think that people already know what Spectacles look like and can record you — and you don’t need that annoying light.

stupid lights.

tl;dr we think it’s obvious enough that you can be recorded by someone wearing Spectacles, and thought the spinning light just ended up ruining the moment and making people think you have some weird machine on your head.

So we made Spectaholes. They started us cutting out perfectly-sized holes out of bigger stickers — they worked great. But soon a lot of friends wanted them — and it would have taken hours and hours and hours to make them by hand for everyone.

So after trying out like 20 different sizes of store-bought black circular stickers, we settled on some that fix exactly right — and had the same black color as the circles on the glasses.

You literally can’t tell that there is a sticker on them. See:

Oh, and we made them just a tad too small, so a little light will shine out (so you can see battery level and if someone looks hard they can still see you are recording).

So now we’re offering them for sale for $3.99 — WITH FREE SHIPPING! When was the last time you bought something online for under $4 with shipping? Probably never.

So go ahead and just stop thinking and buy them. We promise you’ll like them.
