Twelve Olympians

This is a relationship map.

“Why Greek mythology has to especially distinguish Twelve Olympians from the other Greek gods?”

Because the Twelve Olympians are the strongest and the most powerful in the Greek mythology. They lived in a mountain called “Mount Olympus” and they had a council to discuss matters in here.

“Who are the Twelve Olympians?” There are many different views on this question. I think the question has to depend on whose view. Nobody can surely draw a conclusion about that. The Twelve Olympians story has been told and retold in different ways. Fourteen gods once appeared on the list of the Twelve Olympians. They are Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Hades, Aphrodite, Athena, Hermes, Apollo, Artemis, Hephaestus, Ares, Dionysus and Hestia

But I decided to choose “PLATO” ’s view. So the relationship map, the names that marked by yellow color are the Twelve Olympians. They are Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Hades, Aphrodite, Athena, Hermes, Apollo, Artemis, Hephaestus and Ares.
