We are really excited about finishing our design sprint. Our idea was validated by a group of young local developers. In the end, the hard work and double shifts were worth it.

Day 5: User Interviews

The last day of a design sprint is focused on user interviews. During the five part interview, users try the app, suggest improvements and validate your assumptions.

Our interview was run by Daniel. On day 4, he wrote a script based on our assumptions and questions. Daniel also prepared the interviewing area in a café close to our office. We requested our users to meet him at a café to keep it casual.

In another room, the rest of the team observed our users through Appear.in. We used appear in as our remote tool because: it is free, it allows for screen sharing and video chat simultaneously.

What Went Right?

The interview process flowed nicely. Most importantly our product idea was validated. We identified some issues in our UX design and realized some elements were confusing. In the coming week we will fix the design issues.

What Went Wrong?

Some of our questions ended up being a bit leading. We identified those questions and will try to structure them differently for future sprints.
