The day was cold. Limp snow fell lazily in long slow swirls to the soggy ground, grass still glowing in early autumn green through its soft accumulation. It was too early for such snow, but Cora welcomed it. It would make her life easier today. Snow had such a potent, unique aroma. She felt alive.
