When Life Throws You a Curveball

Do you duck and run, or catch it and throw it back?

Life has thrown me quite a few curveballs in the last few months. The sleepless nights. The anxiety. The stress. They are driving me nuts. When a problem is often solved, another one comes dragging along. The cycle never ends.

Life is hard. It’s excruciatingly painful to deal with one problem and another and another. Yet I see myself still standing amid all the chaos and obstacles. I have accepted that. But on the other side, life is still beautiful.

But I tell myself three things: There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. There is always beauty in the ashes. There is always a smile in every sadness. Every day, I have learned to stand up, look out the window and see the light shine from the sunrise. It may not be easy, but I have to stand and seize the day.

I am writing this as a reminder not just for me but for those who feel alone, depressed, or anxious. I know I am not alone in this. There are people everywhere who feel the same way that I am. It is okay to feel down, angry, or emotionally drained. The world is turning and what goes up always comes down. Never lose hope. The good days are coming. Just hang on. Catch those curveballs and throw them back, or better yet, catch them all and use them as stepping stones until your reach your light.
