If they maintain a myopic, short-term time horizon, and choose to disavow any culpability or responsibility for the consequences of their inaction, then the only question becomes when the sh*t hits the fan.

Eventually, Valley folks will realize they are just the latest players with a fat wallet in this political game of musical chairs. Unlike other industries that lost out when the music stops, however, they won’t just be out of the game. They will be left holding the bag since digital tech is ultimately what delivers us to the utopian — dystopian crossroad in human evolution.
