Logan Longs to be Loved
Do you have the capacity to love him?
I’ve been working for weeks to meet Logan.
Four weeks, to be exact.
I began following his story on Instagram.
My dog had recently crossed the rainbow bridge, and while I was decidedly not looking for a replacement. To honor the memory of our rescue, Bentley, I was looking to help other dogs looking to be rescued.
So, I began writing dog stories to help other rescue dogs find homes. It seems like a good way to honor his memory.
While scrolling Instagram, I found Logan on Saving South Texas’ page, and it appeared as though his time is limited.
I reached out, and was surprised to learn that he was actually at a camp about 20 minutes from my home.
I knew I had to see him.
So I dropped into their messages and was surprised to hear that I needed to have a call with them before I could see Logan.
Why would I need to be screened by the home rescue agency for a locally fostered dog? I found the situation strange.
If they’re in the business of homing dogs, then why pump the brakes when a potential adoptive parent wants to see a dog?
