Saudi Arabia’s long-term vision for economic advancement and diversification is underpinned by commitments that are aligned with ESG principles. Not only is there a focus on reducing dependence on fossil fuels, but also on expanding opportunities to all segments of society and enhancing the effectiveness of government services. Digital transformation will be key to the full realisation of the vision, with technological innovations helping to accelerate inclusive growth and unlock latent potential.

Along with the government’s attention and efforts on the sustainability front, there is a notable increased attention and incorporation of sustainability programs within the brands of Saudi Arabia. This change has already started taking place across the country’s large businesses (Telecoms, Banks, Conglomerates, etc…), and is cascading down towards SMEs and Startups.

As the country witnesses an influx of branding and rebranding projects on all fronts, and keeping in mind the fact that the majority of the Saudi population falls under the 35 years old mark, the inclusion of proper sustainability programs within the brand essence and experience has never been more important for long term growth.
