D232/P23: A typed post

This took a lot longer than I had expected at the outset. However, here is what a typed post would look like if I were to use a typewriter for my blogging:

And here is the text in case you want to comment or highlight:

This is what a post would look like if I were to bang it out on my rusty old typewriter. Only, I am not even certain where it is any more.

So, having decided to have at leastqt one post a day, why is it that I don’t?

Well, some days, I am simply too tired or too caught up with work. However, quite as frequently, it is because I am not satisfied with the quality of the post. Perhaps, even more frequently, it is also about self-censorship.

To quote from Spiderman (and my apologies in case he was quoting someone I don’t know), with great power comes great responsibility.

With the internet, we all have the power to publish and shout out to the masses. It is no longer necessary to write a letter to the editor of some newspaper and hope it gets printed, in order to be heard. This also means that unless you specifically run it by others before publishing, it is out there – for better or worse and you face the music if you have to.

It therefore makes sense to use this power with prudence and not be irresponsible with it.

So it does mnot matter what organization you belong to or what race or religion or region or political faction. When you publish, you publish alone.

Hence the disclaimer: my thoughts are mine alone (no matter how derivative they may appear to be).

Thanks to Hanx Writer for this wonderful experience.
