Dear future,

If you were to write a letter to future generations what would it say?

Really, this is an enlightening experience. Write your letter and see what flows from your heart.

I would say:

I knew you would survive!
Find way through our mess and
finally unite for a peaceful planet
really respect this life and thrive!

Because I see the good in people every day
and recognize it in myself when I let
myself get out of the way.

I knew people would someday learn
that life is more much more than what we earn
that love and kindness, good health and
time well spent,
is for a life on this beautiful planet
how we simply pay the rent.

If anything I did or said while I was here
while I worked for my survival and
rising above struggle and fear
made another person smile or see there’s hope
then raise a glass and cheer.

I lived and worked and tried my best
I could not testify without the test
and in the end the people I’ve met
who shared with me my path I set
for good or worse I’ve loved and learned
from all of them now
its your turn.
