Say yes to the makers.

People don’t vote where I live in Los Angeles California. Not in any numbers that would matter. People have little reason to vote as it’s clear we are all getting take to the cleaners by the professional political class and they have no intention or power to do much to improve our ever more dismal prospects of a rising standard of living.

So nobody votes here in LA CA. maybe 10% in primaries which is the only time we have a real choice in an election. The State does nothing to help people vote or encourage more voting. There are many many things the State can do to help people vote more and they I’ve concluded, being part of the status quo money gravy train establishment, do not want us all to vote.

The so-called Democratic Party picks candidates through nepotism and other systems of patronage to ensure their power structure is never challenged. Candidates are often selected by past incumbents and from their staffs so they can give them over to their existing donor base who they will serve. The Dem party then pulls in the grass roots paying lip service to our wishes and themselves making progressive noises, while actually making sure the donor class agenda is the only one that ever gets acted on.

The system of pay to play patronage and nepotism is so entrenched in rules they themselves write that no reformer or outsider has a chance of rising to public office coming from inside the Democratic Party system. You go along or you get shut out.

You or we can’t run a revolutionary campaign inside a counter-revolutionary political party which the Democratic Party is. You have to take oil money, bank money, real estate association money and big insurance money if you want to get the job of elected official at least here in California.

But Trump and Sanders have proven the parties are really paper tigers. They are like the well paid union factory workers of my youth, obsolete in America. They are given authority to choose our leaders by millions who simple accept it as fact and opt out of democracy handing power over willingly to party bureaucrats and big donors. Sanders and Trump proved the parties are not necessary, we the people can raise our own money to fund our candidates or like Trump be a clown and scary reality TV persona so corporate television “news” can’t help itself but put you on their TV shows essentially handing you over billions in free advertising.

We have the blueprint now to do away with the two party corrupt power brokers who only make us all broker while they get rich. America deserves a real choice of real people who put people and planet above petty politics and their own power or privileged. Run for office! Be outrageous (but kind). Be a showman or woman! Be entertaining. Get on TV and reach millions of people and then make a case for why your solutions will help more of us.

Then it’s up to us to say no to the fakers and yes to the makers … of solutions.
