A Trash Perspective.

Sometimes the greatest advice comes from the, seemingly, lowest places.

Just saw a trash bag that seemed to be caught by the wind.
I wonder if he’s feeling empty within.
Taken lightly when he’s supposed to be filled to the brim
Poor little trash bag,
how can he win?
The wind I can see swirling again.
He gets thrown about on the most random of whims.
For the directionless bag I lament…

I hear an
“Ahem…
Well, You see,
the wind is my friend.
And He gives me lifts for free.
No feet,
so that’s pretty helpful to me.
I’m empty a lot, but He fills me up with a breeze.
And next thing I know,
I am flying with ease.
So You’re missing the forest and chopping at trees”

He had opened His mouth and let reality out
“I heard what You said,
so lemme learn You about,
this thing we call life.
How You think I should be ready to pout.
Empty or not, does that change what I am?
I’m still a trash bag —
You’re the only one concerned with my brim.
You assume I am sad,
cause to You,
I am only as real as my use.
Check Your angle before You come up obtuse.
You can see me, but I’m not really in view.
Because You judge me by things You thought that You knew.
‘Supposed to, should haves”
Your expectations mean nothing to me.”

He tipped his hat knowingly and took off with the breeze
He said
“I saw you,
but You didn’t see me.
You don’t have to follow
but me?…
I’ll just be.”
