Aclima’s sensors generate billions of data points every day. To extract meaning from this data we rely on a team of Data Scientists. They sift through a sea of information to find key environmental signals that paint a vivid picture of the spaces and places sensed by our networks. Our team of Data Scientists work to find the signal in the noise to unveil new insights for our partners about the world around us, so we can live healthier, more informed lives.

Alexandra Teste is Aclima’s Senior Data Scientist. She is originally from France and has a Ph.D. in space plasma physics. She conducted postdoctoral research at University of California, Berkeley. There she analyzed particle and wave data from spacecraft orbiting the Earth to better understand phenomena related to aurorae (the cool lights you occasionally see in the sky at high latitudes).

After her postdoctoral work she went on to join the team at Medallia, a leading firm dedicated to using data to improve customer experiences. There she was an Insights Project Manager, providing consulting services to their global clients. Through quantitative and qualitative analysis, she identified opportunities to improve customer satisfaction. She also led the firm’s benchmarks initiative.

Alexandra is an expert in deriving meaning from data, and we’re proud to have her on our team. Meet Alexandra in the video below.
