Whether you set your goals for the New Year or prefer to keep things spontaneous, these questions will help you wrap up the past year and start 2024 with a clear direction.

It’s easy to overlook our progress and think we haven’t done enough.
But if you look closely, you’ll realize you’ve come further than you thought.

Think about the 5 areas you value most in your life…
Relationships, friends, family, career, money, community, health, fitness, wealth, or whatever else is important to you.

  • #1 — What did things look like at the beginning of the year? What do they look like now?
  • #2 — What do I want things to look like, in these areas, by the end of next year?
Read this step-by-step guide next if you need help strategizing a plan of action

You are capable of great things, but you won’t always remember that.
Build a section of accomplishments in your brain library to go back to when you need a motivation boost.

  • #3 — What are some great things I accomplished in 2023?

There’s a lesson behind every mistake or failure.
When we remove the shame, blame, and guilt from the picture and observe our actions with compassion and curiosity, we can learn so much.
When you understand that, failure loses its power over you and you become unstoppable.

  • #4 — What lessons did I learn in 2023?

Life has its ups & downs and things don’t always work out the way we want.
Resilience is an incredible life skill, and it lays its foundations in the ability to see the good in our lives and the ability to build upon the hardships we have to face.

  • #5 — Thinking back about the past year, what are the moments I cherish the most? What am I most grateful for?
  • #6 — What do I wish went differently? Could I have done something then, to make things better? Can I do something now, to prevent this from happening again?

Transformation starts with developing habits that serve our purpose.
Take ownership of how you spend your time & energy so that you can build your dream life, brick by brick, habit by habit.

  • #7 — Which habits do I want to get rid of, and what do I want to replace them with?
(Here’s something to help you unlearn a bad habit)

Living life on your terms is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.

Making your own choices, following your dreams, being unapologetically you. Authenticity and agency lead to true happiness and success.

Think back about the past year…

  • #8 — Where/when did I give away my power and do things out of the need to people please or prove something?
What can I do to step into my power and own my choices fully, in 2024?
  • #9 — When/where did I miss an opportunity because of my fears and insecurities?
What can I do to be braver and trust myself more in 2024?

Calling something new into our lives requires us to make space.
Intentional transformation is about choosing which parts of you to shed and which ones to cultivate.

  • #10 — What do I want to let go of, in 2024? What do I want to take with me?
When answering these questions, remember your vision for next year and the person you want to be. Align your answers to that Identity.

Keeping in mind your answers to questions #1 and #2 …

  • #11 — If 2023 was a chapter of the book of my life, what would be its title? What title do I want to give 2024?

With the last question, we get to the core principle of intentional transformation: identity.

Everything starts there. When we align our identity with that of the person who can have (and sustain) what we want to have, then doing what needs to be done becomes much easier and everything else can fall into place.

So here’s the most important question, to wrap up your reflection:

  • #12 — Who do I have to be, to have what I want?

Let this be your mantra for the year and the lens through which you ponder your decisions moving forward.

Let the powerful energy of your Success Persona guide you into taking the right steps to make your vision come true.
