As we approach the end of 2023, it’s time to take a moment to look back on the goals you set, achieved, and the ones that got away.

This way you can reflect on your values and priorities and check if they’ve changed. You’ll be more intentional in setting goals for the New Year instead of moving what goals you didn’t achieve, goals that might not even matter anymore.

Doing a life reset will take you about 15–30 minutes and paper and pen, after which you’ll be clearer on where you are and where you want to be. It’s easy.

How to perform a life reset before 2024

1. Reflect on Your Current State:

Begin your journey by reflecting on your current state — personal life, well-being, and professional life. You will find life reset prompts very helpful for this if your mind is drawing blank.

2. Identify Areas for Change:

Armed with newfound clarity from your reflections, shift your focus to areas within each category that call for transformation. Acknowledge challenges, celebrate your strengths, and find opportunities for growth.

3. Goal Setting and Planning:

Move from reflection to action with the goal-setting and planning. Define aspirations in your personal life, chart the course for professional milestones, and outline steps toward optimal health and well-being. In this section, turn your dreams into actionable plans, breaking down monumental goals into manageable, day-to-day tasks.

At the end of a life reset, you’ll be more than prepared to start the next year. No more 1-week resolutions, you’re going all out in 2024.

If you prefer a done-for-you life reset template that covers all the sections outlined above, download this life reset template and 2024 planner to transfer your goals into physical copies you will be accountable to.
