“What Did You Come Out to See?”
Was it angels?
If you seek something that is true, would you expect it to be recorded live— while it is happening––on high-fidelity equipment in a studio, like professional, well-rehearsed productions are? In the 1970’s when angels appeared, this technology was not even available for one to grab in one’s hand. Yet, God has sent His spiritual messengers to Earth to bring this news of great joy to all the world.
What would you do if angels suddenly appear?
We’re lucky to have recorded this.
The housewife who was present when the angels came asked if she could grab her mother’s hand-held tape recorder to capture their words. Margaret was not a trained media professional; she was a beautician. She didn’t know where to hold the microphone, so it’s a little too far from the voice. Over time, she learned not to hold her hands across the mike she held, or lean against the turning reel of tape.
But for that very first moment, we were blessed.
And that’s how it is when angels appear unannounced.
The shepherds watching their flocks at night in the fields 2,000 years ago surely didn’t expect this to come to pass either. They were not scribes, well educated to write this account. They were simply there to witness all the heavenly hosts appear that evening. Yet, the blessing of which Luke writes –– to hear the angels’ proclaim “good tidings of great joy which will be to all people”–– has been made known since then throughout the world for thousands of years.
So it was when Margaret recorded a momentous occasion on April 3, 1970.
On a night so silent no one heard, was a glorious coming.
No one else was present. We are so thankful that she left us a record.
As this testimony is being written a half century after, many throughout the world could quickly grab their phones to capture the words the angels speak. Yet, later, when someone listens, how can he or she know if a recording is authentic ?
Would a message be more believable if professional actors, whose rehearsed voices sound almost heavenly, read a script––even though these actors have never seen an angel? Would their practiced speech and rehearsed performance in a clear, Anglican accent make it seem more real or Biblical?
Or might you recognize an imperfect, actual recording made by someone in the 70’s who didn’t know how to use a hand-held tape recorder? She simply happened to be there when the spiritual messengers of God appeared.
The quality of the tape recording of spiritual messengers of God speaking through an unconscious man (whom they called their instrument) is not like those with which you’re accustomed, made in a studio or by professionals––or even captured using phones with today’s technology.
And the voice is slow, speaking through an unconscious mind after Ray Elkins had left his body. (The brainwaves were measured later to have a preponderance of theta and delta waves.)
It’s spoken in an unfamiliar language to the spiritual messengers of God (English) as they enter his unconscious body to speak to us. Normally, they communicate in spirit by simply the thought.
One might be in awe to seek to understand the many incredible challenges to accomplish this “technical” feat, for the angels to communicate with us in words, so we can understand.
Their voice resounds from the infinite, so close to God––beyond and in all there is––entering through and into countless light years and galaxies into this time and into the instrument of a human body. They come in an unimaginable transition of all-being through galaxies, light and space, to transform consciousness into this time and space to speak through their instrument’s body. It is a transition of all-knowing, higher consciousness into a man.
Listeners who prefer for the angels to talk faster and use modern English (unlike scriptural concepts from ancient times and teachers) might re-consider, for this also attests to the authenticity of the source.
Could any of us do this? Could we speak as well upon arriving upon Earth, transitioning in vast spirit and being into this century to enter into a human form to lovingly bring us this message? The spiritual messengers of God are speaking in our tongue, that we can hear their words with our own ears, and even record them.
This in itself is a miracle.
It comes in great love from our Father, who sends His spiritual messengers to bring us this news of great joy, which will be to all the world.
“We have come but for one purpose. to prepare a way for the coming of the Messiah.”
And it is a glorious gift.
As a person who felt very humbled, I was always in awe, hardly able to speak, each time I sat before them to listen. The feeling of their presence is so vast, loving, powerful and unfathomnable; it feels so close to God.
It is understandable how the shepherds in the fields at night were afraid when an angel of the Lord appeared to them. However, I am no longer afraid to feel their power, love and glorious presence when they come––though it is greater than my being can fathom.
If you listen, you may feel some of this too.
If you find the recordings a little hard to hear for the reasons I’ve shared, please think of the little hand-held 1970 tape recorder, or how far––from the Creator and infinite through all planes and time––they have come to speak to us. Know how much love they give in bringing us this message.

I too am an amateur who just happened to (or was blessed to) hear. I sat at their feet many times listening and feeling their presence as they spoke. So, in addition to these recordings, I am a witness of the truth of their coming, along with many other people who heard them speak in person between 1970 and 1989.
All of this bears witness to the authenticity of these recordings––and most of all, to the presence of spiritual messengers whom God sends, who have made themselves known to us.
They bring good tidings of great joy which will be to all people!

The Biblical account tells us of the time before of Jesus’ birth, there were “shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”’(Luke 2: 8–12)
But it was not just to the shepherds the spiritual messengers of God appeared. John the Baptist, whom God chose to prepare the way for Christ’s coming, was also humble and plainly dressed.
“Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: ‘What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swayed by the wind? If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear fine clothes are in kings’ palaces. Then what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. This is the one about whom it is written:
“‘I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’” (Matthew 11:7–10)
So, humbly, asking your forgiveness for our lack of technical experience, or know-how in where to place a microphone, or what quality of tape to use, what you will hear are recordings of spiritual messengers of God speaking. They say, “We were sent from the one who asks our Father to send those who know You best to prepare a way, that our Father’s words should not be misinterpreted.”
The angels’ message is far more important, than man’s ability to record it.
What the people did is small in comparison to the message, or of the presence we felt of such vast, loving, powerful, knowing spiritual messengers of God.
Yet, each of us is loved equally in the eyes of our Father.
If God does not judge us, then why should we?
Some may remember this lesson when “the disciples came to Jesus and asked, ‘Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?’”
“He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.’” (Matthew 18: 1–5)
Even the spiritual messengers God sends to prepare a way for the coming of the Messiah say they are great, “Only God is great.”
I recall when they spoke to us. Most people who came to listen sat in the very back of Ray’s living room, as far away as they could be, when the presence of spiritual messengers of God filled the room and the heavens in the stars above, as these messages were recorded. People acted not unlike the shepherds in the fields, who were so afraid.
Yet, the spiritual messengers of God tell us: “We give this message from our Father. We are not great; we are but messengers. We are here to prepare a way.” (September 21, 1970)
They do not come just to one faith, or religion, or way, but our Father sends them to all.
For He loves us so.
Hear the spiritual messengers of God, Aka, tell of the “Birth of the Messiah,” as they seek to prepare a way in our hearts for his coming.
Seek and you shall find. Knock and the door shall be opened.
“Ask and you shall receive that your joy may be complete.”
