I Rediscovered My Creative Side At a Chance Pottery Class At the Age Of Thirty
Writing Prompt Response for A Taste For Life — Prompt 9: Video Prompt
As a kid, I somehow became interested in working with clay. I’m not even sure how it happened, but I remember clearly asking my mom if I could do a pottery class in our small town in Canada.
Maybe it was the short section that we did on clay in my grade 7 art class that got me interested. In it, I made the below items that I photographed before getting rid of all of my possessions back in 2017.
These items might have made it into my one tote of possessions that is stored at my parents house now, I honestly can’t remember.
What is up with the pancakes?
She told me that there were no pottery classes for kids, only adults, so I guess I must have stopped asking her at some point. I forgot all about my want to do this until I saw a sign at the recreation center in a town that I had just moved to in 2006…
