The path looked inviting to Imogene, and she was curious. The butterflies and fairies’ lights dimly lit the dark wood. The moss between the rocks looked lush. When Imogene stepped onto the side of one rock, her foot disappeared into the moss. When she retracted her foot, it was no longer there.

She gasped in horror to see only her leg. She hobbled to the next rock still determined to reach the door to eternity. She stumbled onto the moss again, and where her hand fell, it also disappeared.

Unthwarted, she ambled her body forward slowly, towards the green door.
