Coming from a family background where hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance were the core values for a successful life, I hardly got it working fine with relationships.

Two main aspects don’t cope well with the above principles when applied to humans, regardless of whether you are qualified to solve behavior incongruencies.

Awareness

Being aware of yourself and accepting critical points about your vulnerability and perfectibility as a human being is not always a given premise in a relationship.

Do you know who you are? Do you know what you like and what you dislike? Are you open enough to share these aspects with someone else without fearing judgment?

Are you conscious of the need to treat yourself and others with the same levels of respect as human beings?

You may be aware of it but not ready to practice it. That’s where you collide. Here’s the first big obstacle you need to consider whenever entering a relationship. Mind you, it’s referred to a relationship with yourself, too!
