We take breaths to live. Yet, we forget to take some time out to inhale a whiff of fragrance for composure… fragrance of rain, of a flower, or of the calming breeze… for composure of our hurried lives and worries and our insecurities. We forget to have a hearty laugh. We forget to be viceless. We don’t cultivate feelings of goodness for all. We utter words that cannot be taken back. We don’t think before assuming stories that aren’t there. The way we lovingly stack monies, we never stack our virtues — we let them scatter and scamper, to vanish forever. We don’t realize that our attitudes affect people around us. We all say, time is transient. Yet, we continue to be what we are. How incorrigible? If there is impermanence, this is the state of our being. What if time wasn’t transient?

Lacking yesterday,
fading dawn and dusk renew —
shadows lurk behind!
