The Tate Art Museum in London (UK) defines abstract art as an art form “that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead use shapes, colours, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect.”
It allows the artist to explore their imagination, creativity, and emotions through the use of colors, shapes, and textures. Abstract art can be thought-provoking, and evoke strong emotion, within the viewer.
Therefore, I feel that abstract art can be a great stimulus for writers in a writing challenge to inspire creativity and tickle their muse. Each artwork we view has a certain magic mojo, charm, or influence on the viewer.
