Four years ago, I got to go out and see Nastia Liukin, Shawn Johnson, and many other top gymnasts from the 2008 Summer Olympics. So this year, I was more than excited to find out that the tour was back in action with Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, and the rest of the fab five along with many other talented gymnasts from the men’s Olympic team and both the men’s and women’s national teams. The show showcases the journey to the Olympics featuring local gymnasts in each state who demonstrate great talent for their age and hope to make the 2016 Olympic team.

Before the tour arrived, men’s Olympic team member Jake Dalton came into town to spend some time inspiring young gymnasts at the Phoenix Gymnastics Academy. He spoke to them about his journey, answered questions, and provided a bit of extra motivation. Following that, he took photos and signed autographs with the gymnasts whose smiles were glued to their faces.
On the night of the show, thousands of eager gymnasts, parents, and gymnastics fans filled Jobbing.com arena in Glendale, AZ to watch the show.

Being that this was my last event in Arizona before I headed off to college, I was truly hoping it would be a good one and my hopes were exceeded. From incredible music to interesting choreography and pure talent, the gymnasts were showcased in their best light. Not only were there multiple champions, there were also many up-and-coming gymnasts that made an appearance. It was a great show to see and due to the schedules of the gymnasts, each city will be a different experience.
