The 11 Survivor Winners the Jury Got Wrong
Every Survivor winner is deserving in their own way, but which 11 castaways were the least deserving winners?
EVERY SURVIVOR WINNER IS DESERVING. Let’s start there. Each season of Survivor has one particular set of rules edited one particular way with one particular cast of eventual jurors who vote for one particular winner. The winner of Survivor is not the castaway I thought played best, nor who America thought was best. It’s not the one who made the biggest moves, and it’s not the least unlikable castaway.
The deserving winner of Survivor is the person who won Survivor that season. Period. There are no asterisks in life. If you won, you won.
BUT.
Not all Survivor winners are equally deserving.
Come on, that’s fair, right? Richard Hatch wasn’t exactly playing with a cast of strategists in Borneo, and no one thinks Kim Spradlin did any special hoodwinking at One World. Richard and Kim were clearly the best and most deserving Survivor players that season. But if you think either of them deserved their win as much as the winner of Winners at War this season, you’re crazy. Some wins are more impressive. Some are just more earned. More deserving.
