Dandy Pik Pik Veau Velours

The Pik Pik shoes immediately caught my eye while walking through the fashion floor of museums design area due to its very obvious punk influences. The spikes different sizes and shapes ties it into that classic punk style due to its somewhat chaotic and random spread. Designed by Christian Louboutin he took a pair of classic “dandy” smoking slippers, a design one would associated with comfort, and reworked them into design that has the opposite feel to them. These are also the type of shoes that would be worn ny an older person, someone who would consider themselves to be senseable, and now with the punk twist they fall into the category of rebellious and uncomfrtable, no longer being sensable in favour of being bizarre.
