Dragonfly is a decorative head piece that was made by Emma Yeo. Yeo created the piece using a piece of brass sheet that the shape is etched out of using CAD. The piece caught my eye because of its flowing design. The way the sides come out like wings are very extravagant design. The gold plating also caught the light so while walking through the exhibit I was dazzled by the light shining off the head piece, bringing my opinion . The symmetrical design also makes the design much more appealing, and gives the piece its name, with Dragonfly wings being mirrored in look. The intricacy in the detail of the design also is part of the pieces name, with dragonfly wings having the intricate naturally occuring pattern within it that Yeo has tried to mirror in her design.
