Eco-friendly students donate to wildlife hospital

We’d like to give a huge thank you to all of the 4th graders at The Village School of Naples.

Class President Kea Shindle and her fellow classmates raised $305 and donated every penny to the von Arx Wildlife Hospital here at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida Nature Center.

The students visited the Nature Center for a field trip on April 12 and they were able to present their donation to Conservancy President & CEO Rob Moher and von Arx Wildlife Hospital Director Joanna Fitzgerald.

During her visit, Kea explained that she actually ran for class president on the “wildlife” ticket. So, perhaps it is no surprise they decided to make their donation to an organization that treats more than 3,000 animals every year!

These students are setting a wonderful example for their peers and for the entire community.
