When Felix Nartey won Wikipedian of the Year in Montreal at Wikimania, he was overjoyed. Watch this and try not to smile:

Felix’s pioneering and professional organizing work across affiliates, cultural and educational institutions, and Africa as an emerging community was being recognized for all its value.

Felix was happy.

In December while traveling to conferences throughout Asia and Europe, Felix’s laptop was tragically attacked by a ferocious steaming beverage — coffee.

Designed to enhance his productivity, instead it destroyed it.

Felix was sad.

Can you help Felix? He needs a suitable tool to continue his amazing work and he needs it quickly, because he is involved in so many global initiatives.

All funds will go directly to the purchase of Felix’s new laptop.

Get the Wikipedian of the Year back online for the holidays.

Make Felix happy again.

Please make a small donation if you can:

Thank you!

Jake

UPDATE!!

We did it :)

We raised $1300 in 15 hours from 40 people.

Incredible.
