When we’re together (Day 44)

We have now two days of national holidays followed by a weekend, which means four days of mommy, daddy and baby time. We always look forward to these kinds of days. I love them because I know how hard my husband works and he deserves some free time, but also that means he gets more quality time with his fast-growing son.

It also means we can go on adventures or have special moments together that make us appreciate the home we created for our little family. They say home is where you are and that is completely right. My husband and I still have to work on creating a more permanent home for us as we’re renting the current apartment, but we managed to create a beautiful little nest for us.

We have chosen my home town Novo Mesto, for our permanent residence and I couldn’t be happier. Fortunately, my husband also likes his new home town. But if our life would take us anywhere else, I know we would be fine. Both my husband and I are really adaptable and children tend to get used to any setting you put them to. As long as we are together.

I can’t say what the future holds or where we’ll be in ten years’ time. I just know, we’ll get there as a family.
