Adhar card holders can check their adhar card status using two methods, offline as well as online. They can even contact aadhar card toll-free helpline number, or through their text services.

Check Adhar Card Status Online

Step 1: First the user needs to go the official aadhaar card website.

Step 2: Now select Check Status under Aadhaar Update category.

Step 3: Fill in all the details in this page, including the URN number.

Note: Make sure to keep your URN (Update Request Number) properly, which generates at the time when a user files an update application.

Step 4: Submit these details after entering the Captcha on the screen, and your adhar card status will be displayed on the screen.

Update can take around 10–15 days depending on the type of information that a user wishing to change in his/her aadhaar card.

Note: Users can only use this online service, if they have their URN as well as their mobile number is properly linked and registered with their aadhar card, as their website uses an OTP verification procedure, in which a onetime password is sent on users registered mobile number.

Check Adhar Card Status Offline

If you haven’t received any notification via, post, call or email than you should visit your nearest aadhaar center, where you can discuss the matter with the officials.

Call — In case you are not currently present near your resident you can also contact the aadhar care center using their tool free helpline service at 1800–300–1947. This number can be used by any Indian citizen living anywhere in the country.

Message — Users can also contact the concerned authority, via text by typing UID STATUS< Aadhaar enrollment number> 51969. The aadhar officer will reply you with the current status of your adhar card.
