The growing popularity and rules implementation on aadhaar makes it even more important than ever for Indian citizens to keep their aadhar card updated. UIDAI has offered easy alternative to the users to update their aadhaar card information. Users can change anything from their name or photo to their address to mobile number.

Aadhar Card Update: Online

Before we start if it is mandatory for the user to have a registered mobile number with aadhaar to use the online procedure, if your mobile number is not registered with your aadhaar card scroll down to the offline method and register it today.

Step1: Go to the official site of UIDAI.

Step 2: Select the option that you want update under the Aadhar Update categorization.

Step 3: This will take you to an aadhar card update page. Fill in all the details asked on this page according in the provided space. These information will include enrollment/aadhaar number, pin-code, mobile number email, name, etc.

Step 4: Submit these details.

Note: A URN (Update Request Number) will generate during submission, which will be required if the user wishes to check his/her update status in the future. So, ensure to write it down or copy tn somewhere in your mobile or computer.

Aadhar Card Update: Offline

Users can simply visit their nearest aadhaar card center, and fill in application for updating their aadhaar. We recommend users to make the update in the aadhar card office where they first enrolled, as it can help in speeding up the process. However, they need to carry all the supporting documents which can verify the changes in your aadhaar card.

Here is a list of all the Supporting Documents which you might require:

1. Passport

2. PAN Card

3. Ration Card

4. Voter ID

5. Driving License

6. Government Photo ID Card etc.
