Setting up a Joomla Server in Akamai
There is a new project that I am working on that is for my new blog called aaron597.com. This will be a way for me to work on more Cisco and Microsoft based content. The Linode (Akamai) server that I am setting up is an IaaS solution that I am using for this new blog. For the Content Management System (CMS), I am using Joomla. Currently, I am working on creating the CMS and new blog for this Joomla Server.
Introduction
I am Aaron DeJong, and I have eight certifications currently. These certifications include the CompTIA ITF+ and A+, the MS-900, AZ-900, and the SC-900 from Microsoft in addition to the Cisco CCNA, CCST: Networking, and CCST: Cybersecurity. I am also a blogger, and a sole proprietor of a Freelance Writing and IT Consulting firm based in Aurora, CO called Aaron W. DeJong.
I’ve decided to do another blog which focuses on using the Joomla CMS to expand my expertise as a blogger and to provide another avenue for doing blog posts. There are some things to do before setting up the Joomla Server and we will be exploring this installation process in this article. I did use the LISH Console to get into the Linode Cloud Server.
Installation of XAMPP
There are a few design questions to this process that include which Cloud Services Provider (CSP) to use, the operating system to choose from, and which protocol stack to install on the server.
