I’ve been toying around with small 3D and VR projects lately and figured making an accurate rendering of my living room would be a fun project. Here’s a few 3D renders I made of my living room in Blender.

Workspace and living room.
Kitchen and living area.
Living area and stairwell. Note: I do not actually own black glass shapes and place them under my stairwell like that.

I’ve also exported the entire scene to a Facebook 360 photo by exporting it as an equirectangular panorama and injecting some EXIF data. You can find more information on doing that here. Eventually I’ll rearrange the scene and export it for use as a SteamVR environment.

I originally drew out the entire floor’s floorplan, but eventually decided on just completing the living room. As far as I can tell, most of the floor is very close to spec.
