Stani Kulechov presenting decentralized digital asset backed lending during BitcoinWednesday’s Anniversary

We had a wonderful week taking part in discussions about the ever changing field of crypto. Our Founder Stani Kulechov, presented during Bitcoin Wednesday’s 5th-year-anniversary in Amsterdam, then headed to Zug to attend TechCrunch Sessions: Blockchain.

Bitcoin Wednesday’s 5th Anniversary

Bitcoin Wednesday is definitely a must-attend monthly conference! In the last five years, we’ve seen Bitcoin along with other emerging cryptocurrencies’ growing nature — from means of value of exchange and asset class, to forms of funding for startups and regulatory discussion.

If you want to see where cryptocurrencies are emerging and wish to participate in the most recent topics of discussion, then Bitcoin Wednesday is the conference to attend. During the anniversary, ETHLend presented the asset class perspective of cryptocurrencies, with a focus on digital asset-backed lending (where we discussed how to get a loan against your cryptocurrency holdings).

We would like to thank the organizers of Bitcoin Wednesday and all the guests who participated, especially Richard for being such a great host!

TechCrunch Sessions: Blockchain

As part of our ongoing roadshow, we crossed over the beloved Swiss mountains to join the blockchain crowd in the heart of the CryptoValley, Zug.

Stani Kulechov during TechCrunch Session asked about the scalability of decentralized applications and what was required to achieve this.

TechCrunch Blockchain is the first series of events entirely dedicated to blockchain organized by TechCrunch. The entire weekend provided attendees with a great opportunity to learn more about future of Ethereum as well as other topics, including the scalability of Ethereum scalability, the growth of the Ethereum community and business opportunities for decentralized applications. These topics were covered by Vitalik Buterin and other ethereum researchers from the eponymous foundation.

One topic we found particularly interesting was the discussion led by Karl Floersch and Vitalik Buterin around Plasma and Plasma CashThis is an extremely interesting topic for us as we are constantly looking for scaling solutions, but also because we see these as new opportunities for innovation in our line of products.

ETHLend is currently researching the technology behind Plasma and Plasma Cash, and its effects on current and future technology and the products we will launch. A current challenge with Plasma is that the technology is quite new and there are not many real use cases yet. Despite this fact, we are always looking for ways to take on new challenges.
