We’re Here Now

In the midst of timeless procrastination,

We laid our hopes on last-minute preparations

Expectations drowning us forming an endless cycle,

With hopes of fulfilling them,

Some for us and some for others.

Apparently our future is determined

By how well we can remember these chemical equations

And every single hour before the exam almost felt like a dèjá vu

Because we know we’ve been there before.

Some days we sat down wishing for it all to be over,

Maybe we’re all just a lil insecure and that’s alright

It all begins and ends in our own mind,

Pondering over the power it has.

We’ve made it this far, we’re here now

The future is in our hands anyhow.

Having countless opportunities,

Make some mistakes and a lot more memories.

We can’t go back and change the beginning

But we also know we can start where we are

And change the ending.

Let’s do what our heart says is right,

We don’t want to look back and say

We should have,

Worked harder,

Trained harder

Tried harder,

Thought harder,

Fought harder.
