Another week has passed and we haven’t sit still. In this weekly update we will talk you through our week. We ended last week with a new advisor and a week’s work lost as we made the decision to shift from doing a simple token-sale to a more difficult STO (Security Token Offering). Lets continue from there…

ICO , STO or DECF

After having done all the necessary research we do not longer believe in Initial Coin Offerings; a model where enthusiastic people fund an -at first glance- good idea to later realise that their tokens thus investments are worth nothing. This is the reason why we are going to great lenght to make every investor part of the company, literally. We are looking for a way where AAVIO tokens represent actual equity. This means that you will receive dividends when money is being made and your shares go up in actual value when the company is growing.

However, the road to doing a STO is long, expensive and seems like an exhausting operation in a stinky swamp. Therefore we are reseaching another option where we are completely compliant to the EU law. It is a combination between crowdfunding and issueing tokens as a proof of equity, in other words… Decentralised Equity Crowd Funding (DECF). As these tokens won’t be tradable, it is not a security and therefore its not a STO. Instead, AAVIO becomes an official -fully compliant- private company with a lot of small shareholders.

But hey, we are not lawyers and we have no intention of becoming ones either. We just want the company to be compliant to all the regulations as we want to get in bed with some major companies. Therefore we have planned a meeting with an experienced lawyer next week Tuesday to talk us through all the potential solutions regarding this matter.

Our mentality. Our creed.

Designer on board

It was already mentioned unofficially but we can now officially say that we have a very good designer on board. He will design all visual aspects of AAVIO which brings the presentation of AAVIO to the next level too. This week we’ve started with application design by mapping out the flowchart and wireframe.

In order to bring these designs to the next dimension, a meeting around UX/UI is scheduled for next Monday with someone who holds a PHD in UX (seriously).

A heavy-weight advisor

On Wednesday Erno and Joost had a very important meeting at one of the most prestigious universities in the Netherlands. Here we had a meeting with a very wise person who gave us plenty of good advice. The best news this week is that this person agreed to become an official advisor for (corporate) sustainability! The identity of this advisor will be disclosed with the launch of our website.

Ok, we are ready to close this week and open some beers. Hope you will have a great weekend! In the mean time you can join our small yet fantastic community here.

CIAO!
